The City of Grand Junction is seeking a skilled Automotive & Equipment Crew Leader for the Transit Shop. Under the direction of the Fleet Manager, this position will lead, oversee and participate in the more complex and difficult repairs to Compressed Natural Gas powered Transit Buses. Perform lead worker functions assigning and reviewing daily work, providing input into performance evaluation, training other employees, and acting as a resource to other staff. Writing repair orders, ordering and issuing parts maintaining related records and documentation; performing a variety of technical and administrative support tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. This position will be scheduled Tuesday-Saturday 6:00AM - 3:00PM.

About the Fleet Team Division:
The Fleet Services Division is responsible for the repair and maintenance of over 700 pieces of equipment that are utilized to serve our community in the areas of Public Safety, Street Maintenance, Wastewater, Water, Solid Waste, Recycling, Urban Forestry, Parks and Open Space, as well as Public Transportation through a collaborative partnership with Grand Valley Transit.
