Job: Cardiac Technician

Under the supervision of the Department Manager, the Cardiac Technician will clean and sterilize reusable equipment, assist with maintaining adequate supply inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies in all storage areas.  The Cardiac Technician will also assist in performing EKG’s, will schedule outpatient procedures, will assist in the Cardiac Stress Lab, leading exercises with patients in Cardiac Rehab and will file various completed forms, and perform all other duties as assigned by the Department Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Basic computer knowledge

Successful EKG course completion within 1 month of hire

Minimum of one year experience in performing EKG’s

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma

BLS Certification

CNA/MA Experience Preferred

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous movement throughout the hospital

Continuous standing

Intermittent bending, kneeling, and squatting

Ability to lift up to 30% of your body weight

Ability to read and understand English

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Ability to interact with patients, families and staff in a professional

manner in stressful situations.

Ability to maintain matters of a confidential nature

Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
