Wage: $37,903.42 – $72,341.29/yr. 

Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description

The Screener position is multi-functional performing a variety of essential duties to the Child Welfare / Adult Protection Intake Unit. This position is responsible for receiving reports of child and adult abuse or neglect, gathering and preparing information to assist in appropriate assignment of complaints. In addition, this position is responsible for non-routine clerical, data entry, and general support services to the unit.

Qualifications:

Level I - Graduation from High School or GED equivalency.

Level II – Six months full time, paid or unpaid, experience involving extensive public contact.

Level III - Two years full time paid or unpaid experience involving extensive public contact. May substitute education beyond high school for experience on a month for month basis.

Level IV - Minimum of one (1) year full time, paid experience obtained in a social services agency at a Level III.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid Colorado driver’s license, vehicle in safe operating condition, liability insurance.
  • Must be physically present within the geographical boundaries of Fremont County when performing on-call duties.
  • Must be able to pass a nationwide background check.
