Location: Canon City, CO.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Canon Rental. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment including excavators, skid steers, backhoes, generators, and small engines. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Inspects equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repairs and the corrective action necessary
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Track and document repairs and maintenance using company systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety procedures.
• Advises in the selection of parts and equipment and estimates repair costs

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working on heavy equipment, diesel engines, or related mechanical systems.
• Knowledge in small engine repair is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license, and ability to drive company vehicles to and from customer locations.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and stand for long periods.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certifications a plus.
