Job Description

Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $20-$25/hr.

Location: Trinidad, CO.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Lead Inventory Auditor, the Inventory Auditor performs departmental, operational, and cash audits of all United Pacific sites. Inventory Auditors may participate in the inventory testing necessary to meet requirements in a predefined scope as designated by state and federal regulations. The Inventory Auditor also prepares reports for management review, identifies discrepancies, and reports any concerns to management and assists in the documentation and training of best practices. Internal auditors must maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Completes pre-audit checklists with the Store Managers prior to the start of the audit
  • Conduct audits for inventory, cash, and scratchers
  • Performs car wash bay audits
  • Performs research on audits to ensure accuracy
  • Analyze and reconcile audit results and reports
  • Prepare audit related reports
  • Notates deficiencies or unsatisfactory conditions that cause losses
  • Review inventory control logs for compliance
  • Understands daily paperwork
  • Reviews paperwork for errors (invoices, transfers, write offs, audits)
  • Able to work as a member of a team or independently
  • Able to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Assist with training store managers and managers in training (MIT)
  • Performs video reviews for non-compliance and fraudulent practices
  • Participates in special projects as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ SPECIALIZED TRAINING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 -5 years of retail experience in a convenience store environment (inventory auditing experience preferred)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of store processes, Company policy and loss control techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness and ability to prioritize, organize, manage, and coordinate multiple projects
  • Always maintains a positive team attitude and professional demeanor
  • Strong and effective attention to detail and meets deadlines with ability to conduct basic auditing related research / investigations.
  • Demonstrated effective computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal systems
