Job Description

Job Type: Full time, Hourly

Wage: $26-$32/hr.

Location: Leadville, CO.

Job Description:

NorthCraft Neighborhoods is a semi-custom home builder in Leadville, CO. We are growing and have steady, year-round, in-house framing and siding work. We pride ourselves on quality, safety, reliability and work ethic and are looking for like-minded Carpenters to join our current Carpentry Crew immediately. Our homes are all in Leadville in the same subdivision, so no surprises on the location or commute. And you'll have paid holidays, sick and vacation time. Plus, we provide the equipment and power tools and you won't have to pay self-employment taxes or file complicated taxes as an independent contractor.

We offer competitive hourly wages of $26 to $32 plus up to another $12 to $14 of professional, direct employee benefits that don’t come with a 1099 contractor jobs for a total compensation of up to $38 to $46 per hour. These benefits include $650/month health insurance stipend, two weeks paid vacation, eight paid holidays and a retirement with a 3% employer match, in addition to employer-paid payroll taxes, unemployment, sick time and worker’s compensation.

Carpentry Crew frames and sides our homes under the direction of the Lead Carpenter, performing tasks such as:

  • Cut and assemble framing components/materials into floors, walls and roofs that make the structure of the home
  • Dry-in homes by setting windows and doors and applying rigid insulation and housewrap
  • Apply trim and siding to exterior home walls
  • Building stairs, setting porch trusses, stick framing box window roofs and crickets
  • Occasionally help mitigate site weather conditions including snow removal, blanketing, temporary heating, material protection, etc.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years' experience in new construction framing and siding
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Traverse rough ground on construction sites. Ability to move around in tight, enclosed spaces. Ability to perform manual labor in harsh environments for extended periods
  • Experience with concrete forming and finishing flatwork a plus
  • Conversational Spanish a plus
  • Must pass background and motor vehicle checks and be able to legally work in US
