Job Description

The Royal Gorge Bridge Park is seeking a full time Grounds worker for the Maintenance Department. This position is responsible for all duties assigned to keep the park grounds well-groomed and maintained. The Grounds worker will report to the Facilities Maintenance Manager. The park is open 365 days a year and hires for all seasons.

Listed are some of the essential functions and responsibilities of the Grounds worker and is not an all-inclusive list of duties.

• Must be able to be outdoors all day in all weather conditions.
• Plant and maintain flowers and foliage,
• Work scheduled hours including weekends and holidays,
• Operate professional mowing equipment (powered mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and other equipment),
• Operate and maintain irrigation and watering systems,
• Eliminate weeds and debris.
• Pass a drug and background screen,
• Able to squat, lift, push, pull weight, whatever is required of the job duty,
• Assist Park Services with janitorial duties when necessary (such as garbage,)
• Maintain the cleanliness of the park grounds
