Provide safety, first aid, and rescue services for the patrons/employees of Cooper and maintain confidentiality in regards to the operations of Cooper Hill Ski Area Inc. and all patient care.
Responsible for cleanup and snow shoveling in designated areas, boundary maintenance, hazard marking and mitigation, and general hill maintenance and clean-up
May operate snowmobiles
May participate in incident documentation
Must attend and participate in annual training refresher courses required to maintain OEC, CPR, toboggan handling, and lift evacuation certification
Any other tasks assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Must be 21+ with current and valid Colorado Driver’s License
Able to demonstrate proficient skiing ability; i.e. PSIA Level 8 Advanced Skier; comfortable on all terrain and in all conditions
NSP Outdoor Emergency Care Technician and/or NREMT Basic Emergency Care Technician
Provider Level CPR/AED (AHA preferred)
Have one or more of the following certifications: Instructor for NSP Outdoor Emergency Care or Outdoor Emergency Transportation or Provider Level CPR/AED Instructor or Level I Avalanche Course Completion

Working conditions
The Ski Patroller II position is based primarily outside and is exposed to temperature extremes (above 85 degrees and below 20 degrees), sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (10,500+ feet).
Physical requirements
Must be able to walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift objects that may be heavy, and ski at an advanced level.
Seasonal Status
This is a winter seasonal position with an expected season of early November 2025 through early-mid April 2026. Employment in subsequent seasons is not guaranteed. Be sure to speak with your supervisor if you desire to return the next season.
