Job Description:
Provides financial service to members through conducting transactions, opening new accounts, receives checks and cash for deposit, assist customers with withdrawals. Assists with balancing ATMs, vault, and night deposit. Assist member in processing cashier's checks, money orders and travel card transactions. Primarily working with members to resolve fraud issues that may arise in their account. Assure member understanding of their accounts. Resolve issues that members face by taking ownership of issues and working them through completion as their advocate. Resolutions may include member training, system-based resolutions, additional products, and sometimes just offering the member a sympathetic ear. Assist members in applying for loans, making loan decisions or presenting loans for decisions, and processing loans through completion. Candidates should have a proven history of helping people find the best solutions to meet their specific needs. Candidates should also have a history of maximizing every member contact, ensuring that members have access to all services, are aware of services that will benefit them, and are satisfied with the services that we provide.
What you will do
- Develops customer relationships by tracking current services; understanding customer financial goals; matching customer goals with credit union products and services; cross-selling services; partnering with other credit union associates.
- Supports members by performing transactions on member accounts as needed.
- Qualifies customer loans by interviewing and evaluating applicants; completing consumer loan applications; referring commercial loans.
- Contributes to personal banking and credit union success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
- Acquires new customer relationships by sourcing and meeting potential members; participating in community activities; explaining and selling credit union products and services.
- Meets sales objectives by participating in sales meetings; analyzing sales goals; developing sales targets; measuring and tracking sales results; participating in promotions; following sales management process.
- Ensures compliance with credit union policies and government regulations by maintaining files; following internal audit, loan review, branch operations, and collection procedures.
- Support special projects by completing assigned tasks in a timely manner. May work a rotating Saturday schedule depending on job location.
- Participates as a team member with other employees in branch operational duties on a daily basis.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required, and Associate's Degree is preferred
- 2 years or more experience in the Financial Services Industry
- 1 year or more Cash Handling
- 1 year or more Consumer Sales Experience
- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Using mathematics to solve problems.

- Strong ability to comply with policies and procedures.
- Able to obtain NMLS Certification.
- Able to obtain or currently possesses Notary.
